Welcome to Moonlight & Moth. By placing an order or using my website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. I’m a one-woman business, and these policies help me provide a smooth and fair experience for every customer.
1. General
All candles are handcrafted in small batches. Small variations in color, texture, frosting, or appearance are normal and part of the handmade process.
I may update product availability, pricing, or policies at any time.
2. Handmade Labels
All labels are designed, printed, and trimmed by me in my home studio. Because of this handcrafted process, very small variations in trimming, alignment, or color may occur. These small differences do not affect the quality or performance of the candle and are considered part of the handmade nature of Moonlight & Moth products.
3. Purchases
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD).
Payment must be completed at checkout before an order is processed.
I reserve the right to change prices or discontinue scents at any time, especially seasonal or limited-edition items.
4. Shipping
I carefully package every order to ensure safe delivery. Once a package has been handed to the shipping carrier, delays, missing packages, or stolen packages are outside of my control.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 3 days of delivery with photos and your order number so I can help.
I cannot replace or refund orders marked “delivered” by the carrier unless there is physical damage.
5. Returns & Refunds
All sales are final.
I only offer replacements or refunds for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

6. Candle Burn Characteristics
My candles are intentionally wicked to create a strong, full melt pool and to reduce common soy-wax issues such as tunneling, sinkholes, and weak scent throw. Because of this, they may burn hotter than mass-produced candles and require proper candle care.
As the candle burns lower, the melt pool becomes deeper, and in some cases the wick may shift slightly. If you ever notice the wick leaning, drifting, or moving toward the side of the jar, please extinguish the candle immediately.
For safety, always discontinue use when ½ inch to 1 inch of wax remains, as burning past this point can cause the jar to overheat.
7. Candle Safety
By purchasing a candle, you agree to follow standard fire-safety practices:
• Always burn candles within sight
• Keep away from children and pets
• Keep away from drafts and flammable materials
• Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn
• Burn on a heat-safe surface
• Do not burn longer than 3–4 hours at a time
• Stop burning when ½ inch to 1 inch of wax remains
Moonlight & Moth is not responsible for damage caused by improper candle use or failure to follow safety guidelines.
